Institutional Forum for Women and Gender Equality Cell

DMIMS (Deemed to be University) established its autonomous cell for women named “Institutional Forum for Women” on 23rd Nov. 2010, with the aim of providing guidance & support to all women working in DMIMS to confront their difficulties, create a conducive working atmosphere & strengthening the redressal system aiming to eliminate any sort of discrimination against women. It also aims to achieve gender equality.

With the vision of making this forum a unique platform for the development of its members & thereby embarking on a constant mission of striving to create a better & just society by empowering women.

Gender Equality Cell especially works for the equality of males and females at every level in all the institutions. There are 3-5 members of the Institutional forum for women in each institution under DMIMS. additional 2-3 members work specifically for gender equality.

The Internal Complaint Committee has been made a separate cell due to its special role in protecting women in the University from sexual abuse at the workplace and helping them in case of problems.

Two gender champions are selected from each batch of students in each of the institutions. These champions are involved in the activities of the Gender Equality Cell.
